Your attendance page, decoded.
The portal shows you rows of punch times. This extension reads them and tells you what you actually want to know: how many hours you have worked this month, and whether you are ahead or behind.
What it does
Hours versus expected
Totals your month and compares it against your office days, so a surplus or deficit is never a guess.
Day count
Office days, present, absent and weekend, with the date range the figures cover.
Punctuality
Late arrivals, early leaves, and your average punch-in and punch-out time.
Leave balance
Medical, casual and total leave, showing what you have taken and what remains.
Yearly charts
Hours per month and late arrivals against early leaves, across the whole year.
PDF report
Export any month, including the full day-by-day log, in one click.
How to use it
1. Open your attendance history
Sign in to the staff portal and open the Attendance History tab so the table is on screen.
2. Click the toolbar icon
The dashboard opens over the page. It reads every page of the table, so you get your full history rather than the rows currently visible.
3. Set your weekend
Friday and Saturday are marked by default. Change them to match your schedule — work done on a weekend still adds to your hours, but never counts against your attendance.
Good to know
- It works only on the staff attendance portal. On any other page it will tell you there is no attendance table to read.
- Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored on a server, or shared.
- If a punch-in and punch-out are identical, the day is flagged so you can ask HR to correct it.

Privacy policy
Last updated 22 July 2026 · applies to all versions
What is collected
Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or sensitive information. There is no tracking, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party service of any kind.
What it reads, and when
When you click the toolbar icon, the extension reads the attendance and leave tables that are already displayed on the page you are viewing. It uses the activeTab permission, which grants access only to that one tab, only at the moment you click. It cannot read any other tab, and it does nothing while you browse.
What it stores
One setting: the days of the week you have marked as your weekend, for example Friday and Saturday. This is saved locally on your own device using Chrome's storage so your choice is remembered next time. It is never sent anywhere, and removing the extension removes it.
Where the calculations happen
Entirely inside your browser. Your hours, day counts, punctuality figures and leave balance are worked out from the page in front of you and displayed over that same page. No attendance record is ever uploaded.
The PDF report
The PDF is generated in your browser and opens in your own print dialog, where you choose whether to save it. The file is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Permissions, in plain terms
- activeTab — read the attendance table on the page you are on, only when you click the icon.
- scripting — display the dashboard over that page.
- storage — remember your chosen weekend days on your device.
Remote code
The extension does not use remote code. All of its JavaScript is included in the package you install. Nothing is downloaded or executed from an external source.
Children
The extension is a workplace tool for university staff and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Since the extension collects no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
